Simply pick any topic or idea that interests you and write some interesting content about it. Don't worry about it being a money making topic because you'll be putting ads on the site which relate to your niche. It's these ads which will be generating your profit.
One thing you should consider when choosing a niche is to pick something that you can later expand on. In other words, start small and work your way up. This way, you'll be able to get your web business up and running much faster.
Things to consider when choosing a niche:
